  • System Overview

By using ground station software for route planning, it is easy to achieve medium and long-distance pipeline inspection operations. During the inspection process, the current inspection status and methane measurement data can be viewed in real time. In case of pipeline leakage, the terminal equipment will automatically alarm and record data (time, coordinates, leakage concentration, on-site photos) for automatic generation of inspection reports in the later stage.

The LC30 PRO [5G version] product is the 5G version of the LC30 PRO. At present, it can be mounted on DJI M300RTK and M350RTKMYUAV DRONE for use. The methane concentration data collected by sensors can be transmitted to remote control apps or web pages for display through various transmission methods such as 5G module DJI SDK. APP control: Open the Android desktop icon and enter the login interface of the Laser Methane APP. During the inspection process, the MYUAV DRONE status and methane measurement data can be viewed in real time. In case of pipeline leakage, the terminal equipment will automatically alarm and record data (time, coordinates, leakage concentration, on-site photos) for automatic generation of inspection reports in the later stage. Web control: Unified monitoring and management of methane data. Capable of calling maps, switching between 3D/2D/planar views, displaying 3D flight trajectories, displaying color block values, displaying real-time data, marking points and measurements, statistics of abnormal areas, quick positioning, querying historical records, and exporting reports.

Monitoring methods

Detection principle: Laser absorption spectroscopy technology TDLAS

Detection mode: Pan tilt scanning type, with adjustable scanning radius and scanning speed

Swinging angle: 1 °, 2 °, 3 °, 4 °, 5 ° optional

Swinging speed: 1 lap/second, 1.5 lap/second, 2 lap/second

Flying above the pipeline, the three-axis stabilized gimbal maintains the laser irradiation direction perpendicular to the ground. The scanning controller controls the rotation of the gimbal, and the projection of the laser irradiation on the ground is in a spiral shape, sweeping over a certain width (about 3-10m). As a result, the MYUAV DRONE can cover the pipeline range that needs to be inspected in one flight, compensate for flight position errors, and capture leaking air masses that deviate from the pipeline.

  •  Inspection process

1. Preparatory work

Before pipeline inspection, MYUAV DRONE needs to prepare for takeoff. The operator controls the takeoff of the MYUAV DRONE through a remote control to ensure stable takeoff.

2. Inspection route planning

The route editing interface allows for the editing and modification of routes. After uploading the route, MYUAV DRONE can perform automatic flight inspections to be updated. For pipeline inspection areas, operators can plan inspection routes in advance to ensure that MYUAV DRONE can fully cover the pipeline area and avoid obstacles and dangerous areas.

3. Testing homework

After the aircraft enters the flight route, laser scanning is performed on the air around the pipeline during the inspection process. A status information box can be displayed at the bottom of the screen, which includes aircraft information, route information, and methane detection information.

Once abnormal data is detected during flight, the location can be marked in color on the map.

4. Data analysis and reporting

During flight, once methane gas leakage exceeding the threshold is detected, MYUAV DRONE will automatically take photos and record relevant information such as current concentration values, number of abnormal data, longitude and latitude coordinates. MYUAV DRONE transmits the collected methane detection data to the ground end, where professionals analyze the data and generate inspection PDF reports, providing important reference for pipeline operation and maintenance.
