"Iron foot + drone" mode, science and technology lead accurate water control

Qidong is located at the confluence of the Yangtze River, the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea. It has developed water systems and a dense network of tributary rivers, which are distributed in the whole area of Qidong like arteries and capillaries, bringing vitality to Qidong. Therefore, it is very important to comprehensively improve the quality of water environment and vigorously promote the protection of water ecological environment.

Recently, the Qidong Ecological Environment Bureau adopted the "iron foot plate + drone" mode, that is, the collection and integration of water environment data by means of UAV spectral image acquisition, on-site manual sampling and investigation, and intelligent algorithms to support water quality inversion and pollution traceability analysis. For the section of the water quality improvement situation is not ideal, the river into the sea, the river tributaries, etc., systematic analysis and judgment, check and trace the source, find the cause of the problem, the right medicine, to make room for the flood season, leave enough surplus, and lay a solid foundation for the improvement of water quality throughout the year.


In order to accurately grasp the water quality of key sections and surrounding tributaries, find out the source of pollution into the river, and provide environmental management technical support for the improvement of water ecological environment quality and water quality in Qidong City. The Water Division of Qidong Ecological Environment Bureau and Qidong ecological environment monitoring station jointly carried out the investigation and monitoring of water quality in key sections and the tracing of surrounding water pollution. The staff went into the field to observe the flow direction of the river and the level of the culvert gate, and carried out manual sampling. The total area of this traceability set is 12.63 square kilometers, during which the manual sampling and detection work of 60 points are completed.


Drones are also showing their skills in this traceability investigation, and drones have the advantages of wide vision, good mobility, strong timeliness, and wide inspection scope, so that ecological environmental supervision has "clairvoyance". By using mathematical models such as statistical analysis and the relationship between spectral characteristic information and the concentration of pollutants in water, the remote sensing water quality inversion of UAV can obtain the pollutant content of each position in water by quantitative inversion, so as to realize the real-time monitoring of water quality with high frequency and wide range, which is complementary to the traditional manual sampling water quality monitoring, and accurately identify the high-value areas of pollution clusters. Implement targeted governance measures.


The working mode of "iron foot + drone" linkage realizes the all-round supervision of "water, land and air", effectively improves the work efficiency of water pollution traceability, and provides a strong guarantee for achieving stable and good water environment quality in Qidong.
